Keg Bowling may take a while to catch on, but once it does, watch out! Thanks to Steve from Cleveland for sending this one in to us.
UPDATE: Keg bowling for the whole family! Thanks to Mark for sending this one.
Here we go:
This is just a disaster from start to finish.
And finally...
If you have ever managed a Cornhole tournament, you know what a pain in the ass it is to collect money from participants and manage all the paperwork. A company based in Bethesda, Maryland is aiming to take all the guess work out of tourney planning with its online bracket manager at compete-at.com. Compete-At provides an easy, turnkey solution for Cornhole event organizers, which enables you to accept online registrations, memberships, credit card payments, and keep in touch with your event participants.
All in all, it's a pretty nifty product that offers advanced features such as exporting data to a csv file, personal profile pages for teams, and integrated membership management for Cornhole Clubs. In theory, you could use this site to manage pretty much about any type of tailgate tournament. You can also create categories/divisions, and restrict participation by age and gender. These guys also offer free support, and setup is done using their intuitive wizard, which is always a major plus.
There are some drawbacks to using this method to run your Cornhole tournament. First off, you need to have your computer, so unless you are willing to carry your laptop to the game with a wireless card, and run the risk of some drunk a-hole spilling a beer on it, this is pretty much pointless. Other than that, we believe this to be a pretty nice feature to add to a Cornhole tourney. A feature we would love to see in the future is presentation mode. This would be great for bars that have projectors, and can present the brackets during a Beer Pong or Cornhole tourney. Check out the pictures below of the software screen shots.

This is without a doubt the most polished iPhone tailgating related game out there. With its real physics, wind, and silky smooth graphics, Cornhole Allstars does not disappoint. The game features 4 different locations and 4 different characters with the option to multi-play. The game also boasts Facebook integration for braggin' rights!
BPONG.COM™, leading retailer of beer pong gear and founders of The World Series of Beer Pong™, have partnered with Jay DiEugenio, The TailGate Guy, to bring beer pong on a tour across the nation. With stops at some of the nation's largest and most popular sporting events, the 2009 BPONG Tour™ will host an official BPONG beer pong area set up alongside Jay's famous pre-game barbequing and festivities at each tour stop. The 2009 BPONG Tour will also feature World Series of Beer Pong Satellite Tournaments™ at each stop of the tour, where players can win a paid entrance into The World Series of Beer Pong V™.
"It has always been a goal for BPONG to go on tour, and the opportunity to go on the road with Jay made perfect sense," said Billy Gaines, co-founder of BPONG.COM and The World Series of Beer Pong. "One of our key goals has always been to get to know our fans, and this tour gives us a great opportunity to meet beer pong players across the country."
The tour will kick off on July 29-31, 2009 at Seafair in Seattle, Washington and end at The World Series of Beer Pong V in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 1-5, 2010 at the Flamingo Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. The tour will make stops at a wide variety of prominent events, including NASCAR races, NFL and NCAA College Football games, and The 69th Annual Sturgis Bike Rally.

There is one right way to do a keg stand, and so many unassisted wrong ways. Warning: We DO NOT encourage "Unassisted Keg Stands," but we love to watch them.

The National Tailgating League (The NTL), a newly formed organization created to sanction and execute organized tailgating games including Cornhole, Ladder Golf and Washer Toss competitions, is ready to hold the first officially sanctioned event during Memorial Day weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway. In conjunction with the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600, the inaugural NTL doubles cornhole tournaments will take place on May 23 and May 24 in the campgrounds of LMS.
The NTL is hoping to expose one of the largest tailgating parties in the world to a fully sanctioned cornhole tournament, and name the "Cornhole King of the Campgrounds.
"Tailgating once was the event before the event," said Todd Hirschfeld, creator of the NTL and president of HMS Worldwide, a sports and lifestyle marketing agency. "Today, tailgating is the main course and through the NTL, we're going to organize and sanction events for sportsmen all over the country."
The inaugural NTL doubles cornhole tournaments, which will take place in the campgrounds of LMS on the corner of Highway 29 and Morehead Road in Concord, NC, will consist of two doubles tournaments on both Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. Cornhole gamers and race enthusiasts will be playing for a host of prizes including $500 cash and race-related experiences such as tickets, suite passes and other unique experiential packages.
Fans looking for more information about the inaugural NTL cornhole tournaments at Lowe's Motor Speedway should visit www.TheNTL.com or the track's website at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com.
Conduct a search on youtube for "Best Beer Pong Table Ever," and you will end up with over 38,000 results. It seems that most beer pong table creators out there ultimately believe that their “work of art” is numero uno. Well, step aside because I think we may have found one that truly has earned the right to be in the conversation for "Best Beer Pong Table Ever!" This table features a computer screen (I don't know what for either, but just roll with it.), red and blue themed LED lights, and a shiny acrylic (plexiglass) protective cover. The only thing you could add to it would be a DMX controller to make those LEDs run wild!
We may have found an item that can help relieve some of the tailgate withdrawal going around. A new application for the iPhone and iPod, entitled "Tailgate Games" recently made its debut on iTunes. The game comes complete with 4 different tailgate games to play, which include Cornhole, Horse Shoes, Ladder Golf, and Washers. There is even a tournament mode that lets you unlock opponents as you advance through the bracket. Another cool feature is its stats system that keeps track of how many holes you've hit in Cornhole and other such numbers. Each game follows its official rules and regulations as stated by its governing authority.
We figure that if we can't go to the tailgate, why not bring the tailgate to us.
The next time you hear someone complain during a flip cup game about a breezy 5 MPH wind, remind them it could be worse. Here is Exhibit A. By the way, the girl in the orange is our pick for MVP, in a losing effort. Not only was she the only one-flipper, she was trying to block the blizzard winds as well! Kudos to you, girl in orange jacket.
