The National Tailgating League Ready To Kickoff
The National Tailgating League (The NTL), a newly formed organization created to sanction and execute organized tailgating games including Cornhole, Ladder Golf and Washer Toss competitions, is ready to hold the first officially sanctioned event during Memorial Day weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway. In conjunction with the 50th running of the Coca-Cola 600, the inaugural NTL doubles cornhole tournaments will take place on May 23 and May 24 in the campgrounds of LMS.
The NTL is hoping to expose one of the largest tailgating parties in the world to a fully sanctioned cornhole tournament, and name the "Cornhole King of the Campgrounds.
"Tailgating once was the event before the event," said Todd Hirschfeld, creator of the NTL and president of HMS Worldwide, a sports and lifestyle marketing agency. "Today, tailgating is the main course and through the NTL, we're going to organize and sanction events for sportsmen all over the country."
The inaugural NTL doubles cornhole tournaments, which will take place in the campgrounds of LMS on the corner of Highway 29 and Morehead Road in Concord, NC, will consist of two doubles tournaments on both Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24. Cornhole gamers and race enthusiasts will be playing for a host of prizes including $500 cash and race-related experiences such as tickets, suite passes and other unique experiential packages.
