Lambeau Rescue

Check out this nicely done ambulance conversion by Gary and Ginger Kerkhoff.  Here's what they had to say:
Who are the primary people that created the rig?
The primary people that created Lambeau Rescue were my wife Ginger and myself with the help of Lambeau crew members Jill & Jerry Burgbacher, Matt Fritsch (grill design) Matt Rathsack owner of Xplosive Audio N'Graphix, Dan Appleton & Ron Machlan.

When did you get the rig?
I purchased it on a auction site in Wisconsin in January 2012.

What was it used for before you got it?
It was used as a rescue vehicle in Door County,Wisconsin.

How long did the restoration take?
Restoration took 7 Months.

How many people do you have tailgate with you?
The number of people that tailgate with us average from 6 to 20 depending on the weather (some wusses can't take the cold)!

What are the cool features?
Some of the cool features are:
  • Green & Gold tile floor (which came from Viking country)
  • Full size hitch mounted Weber grill
  • Also have a full size reverse flow offset trailer mounted smoker that we bring sometimes instead of the grill
  • Packer themed 12 speaker sound system
  • 32" led TV
  • Microwave
  • Small fridge
  • All the lights and noise (Sirens , Green & Gold lights)

What is your favorite feature?
My favorite feature is the sound system, the wife likes the title floor.

What kind of plans do you have for the future?
Future plans will be to change the TV from the 32" to a 55" pull down ceiling mounted,
after that it will be a Wisconsin Badger themed rescue vehicle.

How long have you been tailgating?
Been a Green Bay Packer season ticket holder and tailgating for 13 years also shareholder.

Tailgate Lot News Digest #2

Here's some tailgating news from around the country, and an added video at the end

Packers Tailgate Tour Kicks Off Today

A number of present and former Green Bay Packers players will embark on a five-day trip across the state of Wisconsin on the annual Tailgate Tour today. The coach bus will make its first stop this afternoon in Escanaba.

Indoor sports complex to displace NC State Red-lot tailgaters

Due to the construction of a new $14 million indoor practice facility, about 700 parking spaces in the Stadium Southeast Red Lot at Carter-Finley Stadium will be unavailable for use during the 2014 N.C. State football season.

N.C. State Athletics has offset the loss of spots caused by the new facility by identifying additional parking inventory around the stadium complex to accommodate the displaced tailgaters, according to Michael Lipitz, senior associate athletics director at N.C. State, though they might not be as close to the stadium.

FSU's spring game beautiful for fans

Florida State’s spring game perhaps felt more like summer.

Temperatures in the mid-80s, sunny skies and the promise of seeing last year’s national champions lace up was enough for thousands of FSU fans to make it out to Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The annual intra-squad game between the Seminoles’ offenses and defenses always feeds a hungry fan base eager for another season of college football.

ASU may ban kegs at football games

Last call may already be over when it comes to beer kegs outside Sun Devil Stadium.

Arizona State University is considering banning beer kegs for all fans during tailgating at home football games as part of a larger effort to improve safety and discourage alcohol abuse.

And here's a tailgating FAIL:

Touchdown Tailgating Kit

Back in 2011, Tailgate Lot showed you the Home Run Tailgate Kit.  Roy Henning, David Bauman and Leroy Butler are back with the football version of this, called the Touchdown Tailgating Kit.

How It Works:
The design of this product is simple. It starts with a standard drink coozie and a pair of gloves. We attach the hard half of the velcro to the outside of the drink coozie. Next, we sew the soft half of the velcro to the fingers on the glove. By attaching the soft part of the velcro to the gloves, we maintain the effectiveness of the gloves to hold and throw a football or baseball, play bags or stand at the grill and cook.

This launched on Kickstarter on Jan 31. It has a $25,000 goal, and will be funded if it hits its mark by March 8.  Green Bay Packers fans will be quick to notice Leroy Butler is backing this project as well.

The "Big G" Is Truly A Tailgating Legend

The For the last 15 years, Stephen Gay has been showing his love for the Green Bay Packers by sporting his converted 1966 Dodge Camper. This lifelong resident of Green Bay turned that old camper into one of the most storied tailgating vehicles around, simply known as the "Big G." This famous tailgate machine has even starred in a Campbell's Soup commercial and an NFL Films presentation. Its allocates are incredibly hard to beat considering the fact that the "Big G" has been featured in numerous news and web publishings throughout the country.
